Subject: Belated Birthday in Bellingham next weekend....
Body: I coulda kept going with the alliteration, but I didn't want to get kickeded! lol
So, I am thinking I will be able to be up in Da Ham Saturday (might roll in Friday night, but will go to mom's and do the family thing Saturday morning/early afternoon time... )
Then of course dancing at Rumors around 10-ish.
Maybe brunch at the Bagelry Sunday?
I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas ;)
I'm hoping to stay til Monday evening...

Are you the ultimate roller derby fan? Do you know the ins and outs of the game, and keep track of all the players? Would you make a good coach?
If you ever wanted to see Miss Fortune and Drew Blood jam against one another, or Rettig to Rumble and Jowanna Ass Kickin' playing in the same defensive line-up, now's your chance to make it happen! This is a special fundraising event for the 2007 RAT CITY ROLLERGIRLS ALL STAR travel team to earn their way to WFTDA Nationals this fall! All proceeds go to the travel team fund for interleague bouting.

The 2007 RAT CITY ROLLERGIRLS ALL STAR travel team will arrive with our green and white jerseys, then the two winners of the EBAY auctions will draft their ultimate derby dream teams, alternating picks after a coin toss. The travel team* will arrive with our green and white jerseys, then the coaches will draft their team memebers. Coaches will then pick team captains who will help with making line-ups for the bout. Finally, green vs white will battle it out for two 15 minute halves. (For halftime, there will be a BOY BOUT with RCRG coaches, rat finks, derby widows, and friends.)
*not all members of the 2007 RAT CITY ROLLERGIRLS ALL STAR travel team will be able to play, therefore a few substitutions will be made. Coaches will receive a list of skaters and bout specific replacements after winning the auction*

11:16 am - A very mellow weekend...
|
Well, this weekend didn't turn out as planned. But, that's ok... I needed a few days of down time I think.
Had planned on trying to get out to my friend Rae's Friday night... didn't make it out of Oly! Stayed home with the girls and got nothing done... though I did play outside with the girls, met some new neighbors and got better acquainted with some I knew already...
Had planned to day/night trip NorWes Con... that didn't happen... *pouts*
Didn't even leave Oly til late in the evening. Instead, I got some stuff done around the house, packed, got some Easter shopping done and the girls got to go to the carnival for a little while...Thankfully, grandpa and Katelyn invited them and they did that while I finished getting us ready to go... Did the Easter Bunny thing and crashed @ 2am.
Easter went well... colored eggs with the girls and their cousin (my nephew) then went to spend time with my step fathers family... hid Easter eggs and had a wonderful meal. Fell into a food induced coma for a while and woke-up to an almost empty house... guess I was tired huh!
Had planned to go to the Depot that night and hang out with Betty... but was wiped and ended up staying in and watching The Wickerman with my mom and brother... saw the originally years ago... they weren't the same... but it was ok... disturbing and it's always weird to watch a movie that doesn't have a happy ending... leaves you feeling a little lost and disastified...
Planning on watching The Celestine Prophecy this afternoon/evening and maybe making it down to Althea's to see Betty's show there :) We'll see... still feeling tired right now and promised to do the grocery shopping for my mom...
I know, been a long time since I've posted... but at least nothing bad to report :)

In the middle of Job hunting... have some very hopeful prospects, will know more tomorrow. Trying to get more motivated in life in general... is there some magic words or something I am missing? Could I just say abracadabra and feel like I have lots of energy and can do it all?!?!?!?
A friend of mine is in Thailand and his business was devastated by the tsunami, luckily, he and his girlfriend are ok :)
My girls are doing great, just finished soccer before christmas and one may be starting chess club while the other is interested in cheerleading!
I'm going to be putting school on hold for a bit and work for a while. Bummed about that, but I will go back!
Other than that, not much is new *shrugs* Sorry not much to report here, but no drama is a good thing!

chaneecat is one of my closest and dearest friends! She loves sparklies and maybe that's because she herself is the personafication of ~*sparkly*~ She has an aura of love and warmness and an energy to her that is magnetic to say the least! She is the perfect partner in crime, the best companion for a night of wine, fine cheese and other fine foods, and friendship.
